What we’re up to - 4/14
Lambs are in full blown sproing! We’re up to 17 lambs, and only one mom left to lamb. So far there has been a bit of help needed with our new moms (not a surprise). The naming theme for this year are ‘A’ names for the ewes, and matching the breed origin. Rams get whatever name we want - remember that they go to butcher in the fall to pay for hay for the rest of the flock!
The rams went out on the pasture recently too and could not be happier. It’s feeling very springy over here! We’ll be planting veggies and flowers soon and taking stock of all our summer projects. Stay tuned for our workshop announcements for the year!
